There are six major cities in Jagat. These are the only large, non-nomadic areas of human civilization. They are denoted by the six coloured dots on the map. Hardcore, long-lined families with a very long history of living in a specific city tend to have a specific skin colour, though due to interbreeding with the other cities and those from Earth, skin color is not terribly accurate at identifying origin. Each city has different clothing as well, though due to the amount of nomads and the movement of the general population, clothing is not a reliable indicator of origin at all.
The largest city is that of Reikor, the yellow dot on the map. Reikor is home to a huge diversity of people, despite its location in the far north. Reikor is a manufacturing city - many of the everyday goods are produced there, then shipped via magic to other parts of the world. People seeking a busy, but safe and predictable life come to Reikor. Most of the inhabitants are kindly and welcoming. This, combined with Reikor's warm but mild climate and close proximity to both rainforest and desert make it a hotspot for those wishing to escape the nomadic life. Those born in Reikor typically have brown eyes, and the original skin colour is a light, sunkissed tan. Skirts, shorts and t-shirts in bright colours are popular.
The purple dot on the map denotes Zael, the Queen's own city. It is centrally located in the rainforest, right next to Jagat's main body of water. It is a small city, heavily walled and protected. Only a small percent of the population lives in Zael; it is full of aristocrats and those possessing extraordinary talent or success. It is a very beautiful city, befitting of its inhabitants. The streets are lined with fine jewelry and clothing, which are gifted to visitors for free, and the occasional high-end eatery. All of this surrounds the castle, the largest and most awe-inspiring building in all of Jagat. The Queen and her son live in the castle with many, many voluntary servants. The castle guest rooms are usually the temporary homes of high-ranking officials and officers. Miles below the castle lies the prison. Not many people are sentenced to prison in Jagat, but if one were to be condemned to the labyrinthine maze, it would be impossible to escape. It is heavily enforced with both material locks and magic. Those born in Zael typically have purple eyes, and the original skin colour is a cool medium brown. Finery in jewel tones is the norm.
The pink dot on the map is Oourang, a harsh, wild city, located where desert and savanna meet. It is a devastatingly hot city, and though it was originally a popular location for craftsmen, the deteriorating quality of the river it sits beside has caused the city's population to dive. Many of the buildings are no longer officially occupied, though some provide shelter to homeless street people. Oourang is the poorest city of Jagat. Those unfortunate enough to be born in Oourang typically have golden eyes, and the original skin colour is a grayish brown. Inhabitants wear what they can get their hands on; tank tops in dull, undyed colors are common.
Deep within the southern rainforest you will find Xolun, the cyan dot. Xolun is a fairly isolated city, with customs all its own. Inhabitants of the other cities, as well as nomads, often find Xolun natives quite strange. Its location in the heart of the rainforest gives it a natural advantage in the wood and hunting industries. It is also very close to the sea, where very valuable exotic fish swim. This results in Xolun being a very lucrative city, though its natives don't bother with the fineries like those in Zael. Most of Xolun's people prefer to be close to nature, in body and soul. Those born in Xolun typically have dark blue eyes and the original skin color is a deep, rich brown. Women usually wear dresses and men enjoy lower cut shirts in earthy tones.
Kichstig is the blue dot on the map. It is located mostly on grassland, though it goes on to the alpine on one side. Kichstig is the mining and metalwork capital of Jagat, producing gems, raw minerals, and weapons, among other things. Residents of Kichstig tend to be very smart, but prefer to keep to themselves. It is possible to find jewels and weaponry surpassing all others in quality, for Kichstig is full of amazing metalworkers and jewelers. Those born in Kichstig typically have light forest green eyes and the original skin color is an almost light golden hue. People of both genders tend towards long pants and long-sleeved shirts in light colors or black.
The last major city is Aerii, the red dot on the map. Aerii is heavily isolated from the other cities, and retains an air of mystique. Aerii is an incredibly beautiful, magical city, fashioned mainly of ice. The tundra is home to the rarest, most mysterious creatures in all of Jagat, and Aerii's inhabitants are no exception. They rarely stray outside of the tundra, and those that do are greeted with awe. Natives tend to be quiet and listen more than they speak, displaying a vague smile most of the time. It is usually very difficult to tell their emotions. They are a graceful people, much like the animals and life around them. Aerii's source of income is exotics; people will pay incredibly high prices for tundra creatures as well as things fashioned of ice and enchanted not to melt. The large majority of those born in Aerii have very pale, silvery eyes and the original (and still dominant) skin color is pure white. Aeriians are able to wear a variety of things due to their inborn resistance to cold, though silvers and whites are the main colors.
